Program Description
Resource Center – La Voz ENC will refer clients to local agencies, organizations, and businesses that best meets their needs.
Interpretation Services – La Voz ENC will provide interpreters (English to Spanish or Spanish to English) for community agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Translation Services - La Voz ENC will translate documents (English to Spanish or Spanish to English) for community agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals.
Publication – La Voz ENC will publish a bi-lingual publication that will be distributed throughout the community.
25 Days of English – La Voz ENC will offer classes that will familiarize the non-English speaker with a variety of agencies, businesses, and organizations and the services they offer. Specific terminology, phrases, and practices will be discussed. All classes will be taught in English and interpreted in Spanish.
The following topics will be discussed: (1) banking/financial literacy, (2) pre-school education, (3) public education, (4) higher education, (5) Red Cross, (6) DMV, (7) Social Services, (8) court system, (9) hospital, (10) life skills, (11) job skills, (12) law enforcement, (13) Emergency Services, (14) city & local government, (15) real estate, (16) U. S. Government, (17) SAFE, (18) how to become a business owner, (19) teen issues, (20) public health, (21) health and nutrition, (22) ICOR, (23) drug/alcohol prevention, (24) legal rights, and (25) American culture.
Spanish Classes – La Voz ENC will offer Spanish classes for non-English and English speakers.
English Classes – La Voz ENC will offer English classes for non-English and English speakers.
